Think of the classic Guess Who game, but the students are trying to identify the parabola, instead of a person. This Desmos activity is great for building a student's vocabulary such as axis of symmetry, vertex, concave up, concave down. See also version for quadrilaterals and lines.

An interactive for investigating or illustrating the radian measure.

An article, with nice illustrations, investigating the limit of sin(x)/x as x approaches 0 is 1.

Great pre-calculus rich task idea that develops mathematical reasoning. Students watch a video showing Mario failing to jump from one cliff to another across a chasm. This begins the exploratory lesson in graphing.

Great stimulus data - various measurements of the planets of the solar systems as a ratio to earth.

This website and accompanying app is an accessible way to demonstrate how mathematics is used to improve sporting achievements. It looks to mathematical model an individual's hang time (hang time = length of time from when feet leave the ground to touching back down again). This activity does use a paid app.
